Welcome to our new Work Experience Manager, Aimee Staniford!

After joining us as a freelance facilitator last academic year, Aimee recently joined Team Switch as our new Work Experience Manager.

Find out more about Aimee:

Tell us a bit about yourself?

Originally from Portsmouth, I’ve spent the past 11 years living and working across London. My career has been dedicated to supporting vulnerable adults and children, with a particular focus on young East Londoners over the last four years. I consider myself a ‘Jack of all trades,’ bringing a broad range of skills and experience to my work.

Where did you work before The Switch?

Before joining The Switch, I had a fantastic three years at Inspire, where I managed various programmes supporting the youth of Newham and Hackney. My work there included successful initiatives in Work Experience, Additional Needs specialist provision, and more!

What are you most looking forward to working at The Switch?

I’m excited to bring my experience in the EBP realm to The Switch, where I can apply my skills to support and lead a team. Having often managed programmes on my own, I’m really looking forward to collaborating with and leading an amazing team here.

Any hobbies?

I’m passionate about reading, enjoy board games, video games, and love participating in contact sports.

What is one thing you have learnt over the last few years of adversity?

The past few years of adversity have taught me the importance of slowing down, appreciating life day by day, and staying true to my passions.

Meet the rest of the team.
