Find out more about Angela:
Tell us a bit about yourself?
I live in Hertfordshire with my husband, (adult) daughter and small dog. I also have a son who lives on the South Coast. I’m originally from SE London but also lived in East London for many years.
Where did you work before The Switch?
Prior to working for The Switch I worked for a firm of Financial Advisers in my home town, where I booked Client Review Meetings and prepared meeting report packs. I have had a diverse career but the one thing that has been consistent has been the need for good admin skills.
What are you most looking forward to working at The Switch?
Working for The Switch is giving me an opportunity to be part of something worthwhile. The work that we do helping young people fulfil their potential is immensely satisfying after working in profit driven industries.
Any hobbies?
I like being creative, whether that’s knitting, sewing, gardening or anything else I can do with my hands. My passion is travel and I spent 8 months in 2023 circumnavigating the planet making a video diary as I went.
What is one thing you have learnt over the last few years of adversity?
Life is too short! Being on the road for 8 months also taught me how little we actually NEED. Living out of a bag that you have to carry around makes that very clear. I’m actively trying to live more minimally now (I’m not necessarily succeeding, but I’m trying)!
