Welcome to our new Administrator, Claire Latham!

This month we welcomed Claire Latham to team Switch as our new Administrator in our Primary Team. Find out more about Claire below.

Tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m returning to work after a career break spent looking after my little boy who is nearly 4 but most of my career has been spent working in Further and Higher Education.

Where did you work before The Switch?

My last job was looking after Undergraduate Admissions for a university, I spent a lot of my time speaking with students who were just starting to make their plans for the future and enjoyed planning the yearly Clearing event, helping students whose results hadn’t quite been what they expected. Part of my role was assessing eligibility and I became a bit of an expert in unusual qualifications!

What are you looking forward to working at The Switch?

I’m really looking forward to contributing to making a difference within primary education, since having my son I’ve realised how important it is for younger children to have lots of opportunities and I’m looking forward to helping with that.

Any hobbies?

I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and every so often I enjoy going for a run.

What is one thing you have learnt over this very strange few years?

I think just the importance of connection and taking any opportunities that come along to spend time with the people in our lives.
